MWD6/0.3L(A) is a MA-certified electric explosion-proof crawler hydraulic excavator for underground coal mines, equipped with optional 2-section arm and 3-section arm. With 6-ton weight and 0.3m³ bucket capacity, it features zero emission, low noise and flexible operation. Compliant with GB3836 explosion-proof standards, it adapts to narrow high-gas and ordinary coal mine roadways. The 3-section arm design realizes wider working range and no blind spots, widely used for underground wall trimming, floor leveling, rock breaking and roadway maintenance.
The Underground All-Rounder Duo – MWD6 & MWD8 Compact Multifunctional Mining Excavators
MWD6 and MWD8 are two compact multi-purpose mining excavators. They are tailor-made for underground coal mines and mixed coal-rock roadways. They also fit all kinds of tunnel construction projects well.
First of all, both machines adopt a three-section boom plus tail-free rotating layout. They carry ultra-narrow body frames. They deliver highly flexible operation. They come with complete built-in safety protection modules.
Moreover, they support a full set of interchangeable working attachments. Common choices include milling heads and hydraulic breakers. One single machine can finish dozens of construction tasks.
In addition, core hydraulic and electric parts are imported top brands. These premium components keep steady long-term performance. The machines run efficiently with low noise and low energy consumption. They adapt perfectly to narrow, complex underground mining spaces.
2.1 Compact & Flexible Body Layout
Each machine is fitted with a three-section folding boom. It cuts the overall turning radius down to a minimum.
The whole machine height drops to only 2.35m after full boom retraction. The operation console roof can be detached freely. Operators can adjust boom height at will. This design avoids collisions with anchor bolts, anchor cables and roof plates. It moves smoothly in roadways of various heights.
Besides, the tail-free structure allows the upper body to spin 360 degrees freely. The auxiliary arm can rotate ±90 degrees. No blind spots exist during excavation and rock breaking work.
What’s more, the whole unit is lightweight and compact. It simplifies underground transport, disassembly and roadway shifting. It brings outstanding mobility and faster construction progress.
2.2 All-in-One Multifunctional Design
This excavator covers a wide range of underground jobs. It handles excavation, roadway trimming, floor leveling, loose coal cleaning, slag removal, wall expansion and side digging.
A front dozer blade comes as standard. It levels working faces in seconds. An optional mechanical manipulator is available. It lifts and lays U-shaped steel supports easily, which greatly speeds up roadway support work.
A quick-change connector is pre-installed. Workers swap digging buckets and milling heads in minutes. It realizes blasting-free excavation for coal and mixed rock roadways with hardness up to grade 3. One machine takes care of both tunneling and slagging work.
2.3 Reinforced Wear-Resistant & Shockproof Structure
All boom hydraulic cylinders are hidden inside protective sleeves. The sleeves stop direct impact and cylinder damage during heavy-duty work.
The whole machine uses an ultra-rigid welded frame. It matches the heavy weight of optional milling heads. The body stays stable during rock cutting. Vibration gets largely reduced, and continuous working hours extend.
High-strength branded steel forms the entire structure. It boasts superior wear resistance and impact resistance. It stands up to the harshest underground mining environments.
2.4 Stable Imported Hydraulic System
The hydraulic system uses independent grouped loop control. Every single loop has built-in overload protection.
Balance valves are set at all impact-bearing positions. They buffer operation shocks effectively. They lengthen the service life of all hydraulic parts.
Hydraulic pipelines use threaded joints or quick connectors. Maintenance and oil replacement become simple.
Key hydraulic parts including main pumps and multi-way valves are German Rexroth imports. Large-torque hydraulic motors supply consistent powerful output. The machine keeps stable power even under heavy continuous loads.
2.5 Comprehensive Full-Range Safety Protection
The electric control system integrates complete protective functions. It guards against overcurrent, overload, electric leakage and short circuits.
It matches a mining methane cut-off monitor. It instantly cuts all power supply once gas concentration goes abnormal underground.
Emergency stop and locking devices are equipped. Operators brake the machine rapidly during sudden hazards. It fully meets all underground mine safety operation codes.
Internal and external high-pressure dust spray devices are optional. They lower dust density greatly and improve underground working environments.

The equipment’s boom has a wide lateral adjustable range. It relies on quick-change hammer heads to carry out ore crushing and loose surrounding rock removal operations on the side of the tunnel. The compliant explosion-proof hardware is suitable for various underground tunnel operation and maintenance projects.

This 6-ton model is equipped with a large-capacity bucket of 0.3 cubic meters, with a higher single-time ore loading capacity. The purely electric explosion-proof layout is suitable for large and medium-sized mines, and can undertake underground ore collection, broken rock removal, and tunnel base leveling.

Tracked mining equipment fitted with rotary crushing arm, for underground hard rock breaking and roadway maintenance

High-power milling head adapts to hard rock roadway tunneling and roadway renovation

The boom can be flattened and extended to penetrate into low and restricted tunnels. The hammer head is aligned with the side wall of the tunnel to carry out crushing construction. It is suitable for side excavation and removal of loose ore bodies in surrounding rocks, solving low-level rock breaking conditions that conventional models cannot reach.

The three-section boom can be heightened to reach working points high in the tunnel. The external split explosion-proof electric control box isolates dust from collision and is suitable for conventional operation and maintenance operations such as prying the roof of the mine and crushing high-level consolidated ore bodies.

Multiple finished equipment are arranged in a regular queue, representing sufficient spot reserves and mature mass production capabilities. The unified configuration of rock breaking attachments is suitable for large-volume procurement of overseas mines and simultaneous ore crushing operation and maintenance operations in different blocks.
